Admissions and Enrollment | 2024 - 2025 School Year

Please follow the steps detailed below to begin the admissions process.

Our highest priority in the admissions and enrollment process is getting to know each other to ensure that Embark is the right choice for your learner and family. We believe it is vital for families to be informed and engaged in the overall education experience. We strive to individualize the admissions, enrollment, and onboarding process to provide you the information and understanding of our educational philosophy and process.

Embark is dedicated to bringing together a diverse group of learners within our community that is representative of the neighborhood and secondarily, the city of Denver. We believe that by working and learning with people with different lived experiences and from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, learners deepen their understanding of others, themselves, and the world.

Learning at Embark is built upon our three pillars- Embedded, Integrated and Learner Centered

El aprendizaje en Embark se basa en nuestros tres pilares: relevante, integrado y "Learner Centered".

Step One

Explore, Connect & Tour!

We put a lot of information on our website, but really love to connect, answer questions, and tell you about our school and philosophy to help you determine if this is the right environment for your child.

As you are exploring Embark via our website, please complete the inquiry form below to let us know you’re interested.

Step Two

Complete your Submission

If Embark feels like a good fit for both your learner and your family, we invite you to complete a submission.

Step Three

Follow-up Conversations — Mid-February

While we know that nearly every student could thrive at Embark, as an admissions team, we will send out invitations to a smaller group for final follow-up conversations with our team.

If invited, you will receive a link to schedule a conversation with staff and students on our admission team. This will be held at Embark and will be an opportunity for both families and learners to see Embark in action.

Learners, educators, and families will get a chance to ask and answer any lingering questions.

Tuition:

For the 2024-2025 school year, we are excited to continue to be tuition-free. Embark (along with Pinwheel Coffee) is currently an initiative supported by Great Work, Inc. a Denver-based non-profit organization committed to strengthening education environments. The launch of Embark comes from a Foundation grant and the belief that a truly learner-centered model of education that is embedded and integrated into real-world experiences provides an incredible learning experience that will put kids on a path to being life-long learners.

Diversity, equity and inclusion in admissions and enrollment:

We believe that traditional admissions practices have historically and systemically marginalized entire groups of people — including people of color, people from working-class backgrounds, women, and people in the LGBTQIA+ community to name a few. We believe that we are better as a school when we work to deconstruct the barriers intrinsic in that system so that our learning community has authentic representation from diverse communities, backgrounds, and beliefs. Hence, we strongly encourage people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities to apply. To this end, we will reserve space to meet our equity goals.

Wait Pool:

As grade levels fill, we will maintain a waiting pool. If a space becomes available, the entire pool for the grade level will be considered to choose the most appropriate child for the space. Keeping the mission of the school in mind, choices are based on the qualities of the candidate and the nature of the specific class, with the intention of providing the best educational experience for both the individual student, for the grade, and the school as a whole.
